Valley Truck Centers is looking to hire an Outside Parts Salesperson at our Toledo Freightliner location in Ohio. The successful candidate must be career minded, is self-motivated, have excellent communication skills, a great attitude and strong work ethic. This position fulfills a critical role in our operations. This individual will be responsible for increasing Service & Parts Sales with existing accounts and prospecting for new accounts. This role will solicit new business and maintain accounts through face-to-face and phone contacts, developing contacts and promoting value added products and services for our customers.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Actively promote service and parts sales
• Communicate parts orders and delivery to counter sales, while also working with service advisors on service work
• Keep up to date with new products, competition and pricing trends
• Promotes the sales of parts and accessories and is an advisor to wholesale or retail customers.
• Follows up on and confirms customer requirements and orders to ensure satisfaction.
• Completes necessary paperwork for processing warranty claims, as required.
• Reviews special orders and pricing with manager for approvals.
• Deliver orders and pick-up returns from customers, as needed.
• Effectively and efficiently manages required reports and paperwork
• Actively identify and develop new customer contacts to expand market share
• Assist customers in solving problems and provide technical support
• Act as a liaison between the customer and company as needed to ensure that the customer needs are adequately met

Position Requirements:

• High school degree or equivalent required
• 3+ years recent/relevant experience with outside sales
• Experience in Medium or Heavy Duty Trucks
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
• Ability to work in a team based environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Problem solving ability, willingness to develop unique customer solutions
• Experience with communicating with municipalities (preferred)
• Experience in building bids

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
